About
Meet Joshua Williams - Instructor and Owner of Defensive Solutions (pictured)
Firearms and self-defense have played significant roles in Josh's life, both positively and negatively, since his childhood. Growing up in the vibrant yet unpredictable city of New Orleans, he learned early on that one can never be too prepared for unexpected encounters. After spending 16 years in Louisiana, Josh relocated to Montana in 2004, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a passion for teaching others how to protect themselves.
Josh continued his education after moving to Montana, completing high school, and attending college for a brief period before deciding to serve his country by enlisting in the U.S. Army. He chose Infantry as his Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), which further solidified the crucial role of weapons in his life. Throughout multiple combat deployments to Afghanistan, Josh honed his skills and expertise in weaponry and tactics.
As a Glock certified armorer and weapons and tactics instructor, Josh decided to establish Defensive Solutions in 2023 after years of providing informal training to friends. Encouraged by their support and enthusiasm, he embraced the idea of sharing his knowledge with a wider audience. And so, Defensive Solutions was born. We're thrilled to welcome you to our community of empowered, prepared individuals!

Then this class is for you, Defensive Solutions wants to take who you are now every day and give you the skills and training to be the inner Karate kid you always wanted to be!
Let Defensive Solutions be the Mr. Miyagi to your Danielson with more modern methods and techniques like the items you have with you every day.
Class is 75$ for 2 hours in a seminar style hands on learning environment with up to 4 instructors helping you along the way with demos and use of our training tools.

This is the Montana approved certification course for conceal carry permit applicants. Completion of this course, and range certification will get you a certificate in accordance with Montana laws for conceal carry application requirements.
Requirements-
pistol/handgun of choice.
150 rounds of ammo
holster either OWB or IWB
sturdy belt and good shoes
eye and ear protection
eagerness to learn the laws and safety of carrying a firearm.
